The elegant and functional design with adjustable spray, backflow preventer and standard fitting without any extra adapters makes the product suitable for daily use and more enviromentally friendly than its disposable counterparts. Keeping some fillters in stock (for example in hotels or retirement homes) reduces the usage restriction in rooms with legionella diagnosis. These shower heads are of course still usable after the removal of the legionella source.

These individually packaged filters can be stored dry for many years and, once in use, last an average of six months. Should the water pressure drop noticeably, the filter needs to be changed, which can be done easily.

Terminal filters are not designed as a permanent solution. To prevent a weakening of  the immune system they should not be used in cases of acute contamination or after a hospital stay (e.g. surgery, chemotherapy).
